The Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD) is excited to announce that registration is now open for the upcoming 2025 Community Police Academy. This 10-week program offers Mesa County residents a unique opportunity to learn about law enforcement operations while fostering stronger relationships between community members and the Grand Junction Police Department. Participants will gain an insider’s perspective on the day-to-day work of police officers and explore various aspects of police operations through classroom presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and simulated scenarios.

Details:
- When: March 6, 2025 – May 10, 2025
- Where: Grand Junction Police Department, 555 Ute Avenue
- Time: Thursday evenings, 6:00-8:30 p.m. (final class on Saturday, May 10)
- Edibility: Open to Mesa County residents aged 18 and older.
Participants should prepare for physical activity, including extended periods of standing and walking as part of the program, which may occur in varying weather conditions.
