The City of Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture annual grant program is now open for applications. Non-profit organizations or governmental/educational agencies in Colorado that support local arts and cultural events, projects, and programs are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is Friday, January 31, 2025, at 5 p.m.
Grant details:
- Funding available: $70,000 to non-profit arts and cultural organizations
- Events must take place between March 31, 2025 - March 31, 2026
- Requests may not exceed $4,500 for projects
- Applicants are expected to present to the Commission in person on February 24 or February 25, 2025
- Notification to grant recipients will occur the week of March 3, 2025
This grant program helps provide employment, sales, or performance opportunities for working artists and those who work for cultural non-profits by supporting a broad range of community cultural events, exhibits, presentations, and projects. The business of art, in all its many forms, is an essential economic element of the community and the arts are an industry.
