On 03/01/24, at approximately 10:50 a.m., first responders with the Grand Junction Police Department and Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a fire on the north side of Matchett Park located at 2844 Patterson Road in Grand Junction, Colorado. Fire crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire. There was no damage caused by the fire to the surrounding structures. Two adult males were in a dispute when the fire started, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined. There have been no arrests made at this time. The investigation into this isolated incident remains ongoing and there is currently no additional information available.
