The University's Art Gallery is located in downtown Grand Junction in a building shared with the Downtown Development Authority (DDA). In addition to the gallery, the building houses a studio space for classroom instruction and artist presentations. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday, from noon to 5 pm. Gallery admission is free and all receptions and artist events are free and open to the public.

Downtown Grand Junction is the organizing force behind downtown events and promotion, urban renewal and redevelopment, and many other downtown improvements and renovations including the Mainstreet UpLift, renovation of the Avalon Theatre and the Las Colonias Riverfront Corridor. Major activities and events include the Art on the Corner sculpture exhibit, the annual Art and Music Festival, Thursday night Farmer's Markets in summer and fall, parades, and the annual Car Show.

The Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture is a service organization appointed and funded by the City of Grand Junction, located in the City Parks and Recreation Department office in Lincoln Park. The Arts Commission is dedicated to enhancing the quality, quantity, affordability, and accessibility of arts and culture throughout the community.
