| Colorado West Performing Arts Company was founded in 2022, a 501c3 company, as the first professional ballet company on the Western Slope. The company auditioned and selected professional artists from across the country to relocate and reside in Grand Junction, CO to perform a traditional ballet company season of 4 full-length performances along with local aspiring youth dancers from the Grand Valley. Performing ballets such as Cinderella, Nutcracker, Peter Pan and other unique performances at The Avalon Theatre as well as touring to other mountain communities in Western Colorado to fill a void that has always been desired by our community to enhance arts and culture in performing arts. She has studied with American master teachers in Moroccon, Tunisian, Turkish modern and Egyptian classical and modern dance. Sultan's Pride dancers also participate in clinics regularly and share their experiences with the troupe in an effort to blend modern with classic dance in a style that appeals to the American public. |
