My life, my heart, my world is defined by color. At age eight a career as an artist began. The mediums I used were anything that trailed color. I painted glass shards, rocks, walls, my shoes, my mom's shoes and anything else with a surface. At 65, I continue to leave a trail of color that brings life to the walls of the Fruita Library, St. Mary's Hospital, the McDonald's Corporate Headquarters and hundreds of private collections. My world is defined by color, and an element of my soul is defined by my audience's reaction to it.

I am a mixed media and fiber artist and retired public librarian. My art experience stretches over 30 years and includes classes in Art History, Printmaking, Figure Drawing. Painting(Watercolor and Oil) and Mixed Media(Collage). I have been 'cutting and pasting' since my first 'decoupaged' ice cream carton trash can that I made 50 years ago. I still use it in my studio. My storytelling started as a Children's librarian in Oklahoma. I make 2-dimensional artwork, greeting cards and knitted fiber items. I collect magazine pictures, handmade paper, broken jewelry, buttons, hand carved and designed stamps, watercolor and acrylic paints and other eclectic art materials. I am drawn to bright colors and highly textured materials.

Fabric artist, art quilter, designer and creator of clothing and accessories, inspired by the landscape and open skies of Colorado, animal lover, horsewoman, gardener and contributing citizen of the Unaweep canyon. Everyday sights of horses, ranches, cowboys, cattle and the sagebrush-covered acres exert tremendous influence on my work. I conduct classes at the Western Colorado Center for the Arts and at my studio. I am active in the Western Slope art community, speaking for local quilt groups and jurying competitions. My work has won awards in national competitions and also been seen in local and traveling shows. In 2004 I collaborated with a local sculptor to create an installation for an office building in Grand Junction, Colorado. My sense that art should be fun keeps my palette vivid and designs energetic - I love life and want my work to exhibit vitality by the creative fusion of media based on my unique vision and designs.
