Each of the eight records specialists is master certified through the Colorado Certified Records Network. Their training includes extensive knowledge of Colorado Open Records Act.

Police records are "paperless" and available to the public, unless prohibited for release by law. For all open records requests, including police reports, accident reports, Body Worn Cameras, and 911 audio, please complete this request form.  Requests may also be made in person at the Police Department at 555 Ute Avenue.

Copies of police records are billed at $0.25 per page. Additional fees for research and redaction may be included if applicable.  Pre-payment is required for some services.  A full listing of fees can be viewed here.

The police lobby is open to the public from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. The phone number for the Records Department is 970-549-5000.
