The City Clerk's office processes liquor licensing for the City of Grand Junction of which there are over 170 licenses within City limits.
Colorado liquor licensing requires approval by both the City and State. The local Liquor Licensing Authority generally meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 2 p.m.

The Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD) hosts the Servers & Managers Alcohol Responsibility Training (SMART) course twice a year.
