There are several convenient ways to pay your utility bill...
You can make your payment online, through Paymentus, our new processing company. This secure website is accessible 24-hours a day. The processing fee is $1.99 per transaction. You can make a one-time payment or log in for all of the new features provided by Paymentus! We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and AMEX. You can also pay by eCheck.
You can still make your payment online through eCARe - a secure website that is accessible 24 hours a day.
You can make your payment directly to a Customer Service Representative at City Hall (250 N. 5th St.). We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Pay your utility bill over the phone by calling 970-255-2323. Our automated phone system is available 24-hours a day. There is a processing fee of $1.99 per transaction.
Automatic Credit Card Payment
Sign up for automatic credit card payments through Paymentus. Call a Customer Service Representative at 970-244-1579 for more information.
There is no need to write a check, buy postage stamps or drive to the nearest drop box to pay your utility bill each month. By signing up for our Automatic Draft Program, your City utility bill payment will be automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account each month, at no additional cost to you. Fill out an Automatic Draft Authorization Form through DocuSign today or call a Customer Service Representative at 970-244-1579 for more information.
Going grocery shopping? The City has the following utility payment drop boxes located in many grocery stores around town:

- 200 Rood Ave (downtown)
- 630 24 Rd (near Mesa Mall)
- 569 32 Rd (Clifton)
- 2770 Hwy 50 S (Orchard Mesa)
- 2901 Patterson Rd (Fruitvale)
- 681 Horizon Dr (north)
Grocery store drop boxes are picked up on Thursdays.
Drive-up drop box on 5th Street in front of the Alpine Bank Building.
Walk-up drop box at the South entrance of City Hall (NE corner of 5th and Rood)
When using drop boxes you need an envelope, but NO POSTAGE is required. Make checks payable to the City of Grand Junction. No cash payments in drop boxes please! On-time payments in drop boxes ONLY.
We are happy to make payment arrangements with the owner of the property. Because the owner is ultimately responsible for any unpaid utility charges, we are unable to make arrangements with a renter unless authorized by the landlord or property management company. Please call 970-244-1579.
