The 36 City Parks, over 20 miles of bike paths and over 900 acres of open space remain open. All bathroom facilites at the parks remain open and are being regularly cleaned and disinfected. Coloradoans are encouraged to stay active and healthy by walking, biking and jogging, and the Grand Junction Parks system is a great place to engage in these activities.

How COVID-19 is affecting the Parks, Recreation and Trails System:
The City of Grand Junction has closed all picnic areas, and shelters. Shelter reservations are canceled untill further notice.
As of April 29, 2020 court spaces (including basketball, volleyball, handball, pickleball, and tennis) are reopened for drop-in play.
As of May 28, 2020 playgrounds have reopened.
As of June 6 practices, lessons and skills clinics may resume. Field use is limited to local teams. Games and tournaments are still prohibited.
Summer Camp (STARS, SCORE, Tween, Little Sunshines) will begin on June 15. Registration is open now!
The Lincoln Park Pool is scheduled to open on July 3. (Swim lessons will not be available.)
The softball program will begin Monday, July 6 with modified rules to limit congregation and contact.
The indoor facilities, such as the Senior Recreation Center and the Orchard Mesa Pool, remain closed. The Lincoln Park Stadium complex remains closed and the Fourth of July fireworks are cancelled.
