The Parks Operations Division has the task of maintaining Grand Junction's well-defined parks system. It is the goal of this division's staff to provide clean, safe and maintained parks at the highest of today's industry standards for Grand Junction citizens. Covering every facet of park maintenance including, turf care, restroom and shelter service, litter removal, and irrigation repair are just a few of the required staff duties. As Grand Junction continues to experience growth the demand for new development, renovation of existing parks and facilities, and parkland acquisition are constant challenges. The Parks Operations Division strives to meet park related needs of the citizens of our community by providing timely response to service requests, continually enhancing, developing and maintaining existing parks and development of new parks to meet the ever growing need and demand.
