The City Council holds their regular meetings the first and third Wednesdays of the month and the Monday preceding the first and third Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the auditorium in City Hall.

Gregg Palmer, Mayor 
Mayor Gregg Palmer is a local business owner, with partnership interests in Colorado, California, and Oregon. Elected in 2003, and re-elected in 2007, he has a lengthy history of community service. He has served on the Traffic Safety Council, and both the Downtown Association, and the Downtown Development Authority (DDA). He is past President of the Grand Junction Lions Club and the Museum of Western Colorado. He served a 4-year term on the Airport Authority, and has recently been re-appointed by the County to serve on the EMS Council. He also serves as a member of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership (GJEP), among many other duties. He and his wife Dana have 3 sons, and 5 grandchildren living in Grand Junction. He has lived here since 1980, having moved here from Durango.

 Teresa Coons,
Mayor Pro Tem
Teresa Coons is a 4th generation Coloradoan. She received her undergraduate degree from Colorado State University and a Ph.D. in immunology from the University of New Mexico. She is currently the Senior Scientist for the Saccomanno Research Institute, where she directs the scientific research programs associated with St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center and a medical screening program for former uranium industry workers. She is active in the Grand Junction community as member of the Mesa County Board of Health, the Grand Junction Housing Authority Board, the Methamphetamine Task Force, the Mesa Stat e College Chapter of Sigma Xi, Grand Junction Lions Club, the Mesa County League of Women Voters, the Latin-Anglo Alliance and as a volunteer with other local organizations such as the Mesa County United Way and Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County. She is also an Adjunct member of the Mesa State College Faculty and teaches in the Biology and Environmental Sciences Departments. |

Jim Doody 
Jim is the Founder and President of the Western Slope Vietnam War Memorial Park, Inc. He served nineteen years with Coorstek in Grand Junction. Jim is a member of the Fruita Chamber of Commerce and Eagle Aerie #595. He received the Key to the City of Fruita on February 15, 2002 for his efforts while making his “Field of Dreams Project” a reality at the Colorado Welcome Center in Fruita, CO. He is a 1973 Grand Junction High School Graduate and attended St. Thomas Seminary in 1973-1974. Jim also attended Mesa State College and graduated with a Certificate in Machine & Manufacturing in 1990.

Bonnie Beckstein
Bonnie J. Beckstein has lived and worked in the Grand Valley and City of Grand Junction since 1964. She graduated from Fruita Monument High, attended Mesa State College and is currently employed by Cucchetti, Baldwin & Co., CPA, LLC as a staff accountant and has been employed there for 25 years. She has served on the Mesa County Republican Board and the Mesa County Republican Women's Board.

Bruce Hill
 Bruce Hill is owner of Superior Alarm, Inc. A Grand Junction native, he graduated from Grand Junction High School and attended Mesa State College. He has been active in many local organizations including Kiwanis, United Way, the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Development Authority, St. Mary's Hospital Foundation Board, JUCO, and Crime Stoppers, among others.

Doug Thomason
 Doug Thomason, currently a Moving consultant with Mesa Systems Inc., came to Grand Junction 30 years ago to attend Mesa College. He earned a B.S. degree in Business Management and has been in the local business sector for 20+ years. He has been active in Partners, is Past President of the Grand Junction Lions Club, President of MSC Alumni Association and is actively involved with coaching youth basketball. |

Linda Romer Todd
 Linda is the owner of Associated Brokers and Consultants, Inc. She has been in the real estate business since 1978. Linda is a past President of the Grand Junction Area Realtor's Association, past President of Habitat For Humanity of Mesa County, and current President Elect of Horizon Sunrise Rotary Club. She currently serves on the Land Use, Environment, and Property Rights Committee for the National Association of Realtor's and the Executive Committee of Club 20, and is active in the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce. On Wednesdays, as a volunteer, Linda delivers meals for Gray Gourmet.
