This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in locating the suspect or suspects that have been involved in the theft of approximately 70 propane tanks since August. Over the past several months, the Grand Junction Police Department and the Mesa County Sheriff’s Department have investigated several incidents involving the thefts. The propane tanks have been stolen from Waste Management (1227 Winters Ave), Alco Store (2696 US Hwy 50), Diamond Shamrock (3202 E Rd), Ferrellgas (2844 I-70 Business Loop), Corner Store (599 29 ½ Rd), and the Cameron RV (2304 US Hwy 6 & 50). During one of the incidents, a male driving a newer, silver colored Jeep Liberty was seen loading propane tanks into the SUV.
