• Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBOA)


    The Grand Junction Board of Appeals is scheduled to meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 12:00 Noon in the City Auditorium located in the City Hall Building at 250 North 5th Street if a variance application has been submitted to the Community Development Department.

    The Board of Appeals is composed of five members appointed for four-year terms by the City Council. The Board of Appeals hears and decides requests for variances in the sign code, non-conforming uses and the bulk requirements of the zoning districts in the Grand Junction Zoning and Development Code, as well as appeals of administrative decision pursuant to the Zoning and Development Code.

    Any person interested in serving on the Board of Appeals must reside within the city limits. Please submit letters of interest and resume to the City Council, c/o City Clerk, 250 North 5th Street, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501. For information about vacancies, please call (970) 244-1430.
