  • Yard of the Month

     

    The Grand Junction Forestry Board, Daily Sentinel, and the City of Grand Junction are sponsoring a “Yard of the Month” program. This program will recognize Grand Junction residents who demonstrate above-average efforts in maintaining their homes and landscapes making our community a better place to live. Take pride in your home and neighborhood and we might celebrate your efforts to enhance the appearance of our community!


    The Grand Junction Forestry Board members and volunteers will choose a yard that exemplifies the judging criteria (see below) for months May through September. Regardless of property size or landscape ideas your yard could be selected. A beautiful Yard of the Month sign will be displayed in the winner’s front yard, along with a certificate hand signed by the mayor, and picture of the winner’s yard will be published on the City of Grand Junction website and in the Daily Sentinel newspaper in the Saturday “Home and Garden” section.
