Please check back periodically!   The Grand Valley Circulation Plan classifies all streets in the urban area according to function. This is an update to that plan and will identify existing and future transportation corridors to reflect changes called for in the Comprehensive Plan.
29 Road & I-70B 29 Road & I-70 B 29 Road and I-70B Interchange A key component of the transformation of the 29 Road corridor into a major link in the transportation network is the proposed connection at I-70B. This project proposes to construct a viaduct to extend 29 Road over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and I-70B. These improvements are part of the 29 Road corridor improvements that will eventually connect Highway 50 with Interstate 70.
Riverside Parkway Riverside Parkway Riverside Parkway is a new three and five lane urban roadway for providing connections across southern Grand Junction. It is located between the Union Pacific Railroad and the Colorado River. This roadway is planned as a first phase and southern segment to a loop around central Grand Junction, in conjunction with 29 Road, Interstate 70, and 24 Road. F 1/2 Road Study F 1/2 Road Study Rather than "react" after development occurs, the City is taking a "pro-active" approach by planning for the increased growth before it occurs. Part of the the pro-active approach is to improve east/west travel between Patterson Road and Interstate 70 (I-70) in the vicinity of the Mesa Mall. The F 1/2 Area Corridor Study was conducted by the City of Grand Junction to determine which east-west corridor(s) in the vicinity of Mesa Mall should be improved or developed.
Travel Rate Index Study Travel Rate Index Study Travel Studies were conducted August-October 2005. The map shows the average travel time it takes to get form the beginning point to the end point of some of the major streets in Grand Junction. Click on the link to view the map and times.
