29 Road & I-70 B

29 Road and I-70B Interchange A key component of the transformation of the 29 Road corridor into a major link in the transportation network is the proposed connection at I-70B. This project proposes to construct a viaduct to extend 29 Road over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks and I-70B. These improvements are part of the 29 Road corridor improvements that will eventually connect Highway 50 with Interstate 70.

F 1/2 Road Study

F 1/2 Road Study

Rather than "react" after development occurs, the City is taking a "pro-active" approach by planning for the increased growth before it occurs. Part of the the pro-active approach is to improve east/west travel between Patterson Road and Interstate 70 (I-70) in the vicinity of the Mesa Mall. The F 1/2 Area Corridor Study was conducted by the City of Grand Junction to determine which east-west corridor(s) in the vicinity of Mesa Mall should be improved or developed.
