2008
Tentative Program Dates:
October 20th thru December 19th

At your home each week!
With our weekly schedule, you’ll know exactly what day your leaves will be picked up. Check the GIS map for details in your neighborhood. Have your leaves out by 7 a.m. on your pick up day. Remember, we only pick up leaves. 2007 Brochure

Why does the City pick up leaves?
Fallen leaves can clog storm sewers after a rain or snow.  By picking them up, we keep our storm drains clear. This helps the City comply with federal stormwater regulations. We also recycle all of the leaves, saving space in the landfill.

How does the program work?
We’ll start picking up leaves around October 22, and continue through mid-December.  We use four vacuum trucks and two street sweepers to work our way through the entire City each week.

What do I need to do?
  • Rake your leaves into the street 18” out from gutters – this allows stormwater to flow freely.
  • No gutters on your street? Rake leaves to the edge of the street in front of your residence.
Please DO NOT:
  • Park on leaves
  • Soak leaves with water

To ensure the safety of our employees, keep equipment running, and maintain our weekly schedule, these are the items we CANNOT pick up :

  • Bagged Leaves
  • Tree Limbs
  • Brush/Garden trimmings
  • Wood
  • Rock, Brick or Concrete
  • Metal
