Permit for Construction
Within Public Right-of-Way
A Permit for Construction Within Public
Right-of-Way is required for any work within the public right-of-way
of the City of Grand Junction. Right-of-way includes public streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, alleys, and utility easements. Types of work that are affected include, but are not limited to, saitary sewer, storm sewer, water lines, irrigation lines, curb & gutter, sidewalk, driveway changes, utility work, and any activity that impedes or obstructs vehiclar traffic or pedestrian movement.

can be picked up at the City Engineering Field Services office at the City's Shops complex, 2549 River Road, north of Highway 340 (Broadway)--located behind the Purchasing and Stores building. Permit services will be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, then 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A cost
of $60.00 is due with the completed application. In most cases, Performance/Warranty
Guarantee is required to be submitted with the application.

Application for Activities Withing Right-of-way
Three weeks prior to any activity such as a parade, street dance, craft show,
run/walk, etc., that takes place within the public right-of-way
of the City of Grand Junction requires a street closure permit form
to be completed and submitted for approval. A traffic control plan
provided by a professional traffic control company, and a map indicating the location of the event, is necessary to be
submitted with the application. For a printable application, click

Utilties Department, Room 245, 250 North 5th Street, Grand Junction,
