Neighborhood Crime Maps are available
on the City of Grand Junction's
Geographic
Information System (GIS) page. If you have not used
the city's GIS page previously, follow the directions on
the right
side of the GIS page to download the AutoDesk viewer plug-in.
On the left side of the GIS page, click
on Police Map. The city map
appears with a list of information choices on the left:
- Recent Crimes shows the
location of selected crimes that were reported to the Grand
Junction Police Department during the previous week. We
currently map the following: assault, auto theft, bicycle
theft, burglary, theft from auto, and vandalism.
- Registered Sex Offender
shows where registered sex offenders reside in
the City of Grand Junction. For more information about
the history
and laws pertaining to registered sex offenders in the
state of Colorado and the Grand Junction Police Department's
commitment
to making sex offender information readily available to
our citizens, visit our Sex
Offender Information web page or download
a list of Sex Offenders Registered with the GJPD.
- Police Beat Areas displays
the 44 neighborhood beats in the City of Grand Junction
when you click on the square to the left of the title. The
GJPD officer assigned to each neighborhood beat strives
to work in collaboration with you and your neighbors to
identify and solve problems affecting your neighborhood.
Double-click on any beat to view information about the neighborhood
beat officer.
If you have any questions about using the GIS or about the
GJPD information displayed, please contact the Community
Advocacy Program team at (970) 244-3630.
