Exceptional customer service is our standard. We welcome all comments, either positive or negative, about our service. Residents may make comments in person at the Police Department, by mailing to: 625 Ute Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501, or by telephone. To locate a supervisor during normal business hours please call (970) 244-3555 or in the evening hours (970) 244-3649. A message may also be left on our confidential comment line (970) 244-3757.

Following is a brief summary of the process in which comments are handled. Initially, a supervisor will interview the reporting party to obtain details of the incident in question. Subsequent to that, the applicable procedure is then followed as shown below:

Complaint:
Allegation that an employee violated a law, Department policy or City policy

Officer may be eligible for additional awards
Department may change policy or procedure due to inquiry
Chief of Police reviews recommendation and  renders decision

The Department responds promptly and courteously to every comment from every citizen.
