and Goals
The City of Grand Junction Municipal Golf
Courses will provide a pleasurable outdoor entertainment
experience for our patrons. It is essential that the golf
patrons find the experience to be customer oriented, affordable
and aesthetically pleasing. As a steward of the land, the
golf division uses sustainable agriculture in the care of
Lincoln Park and Tiara Rado Golf Courses. It provides a
rewarding work environment and fair compensation to its
employees and recovers all of the Division’s costs.
GOALS
1. To provide supervised golf, under favorable
conditions, to our customers.
2. To make possible the best turf-playing conditions and
operational services at minimum cost.
3. To cooperate with all agencies and organizations who promote,
stimulate, and develop the advancement of golf.
4. To provide expertise knowledge and supervision in the
design, renovation, and construction of golf facilities.
5. To participate in golf-related research studies, projects,
and with professional organizations that offer new and improved
concepts and methods.
6. To maintain an in-service training program for golf personnel
that ensures a high quality of turf and operational services
to golfers.
7. To develop and maintain facilities that are designed to
fulfill specialized needs of the golfer now and in the future.
8. To develop and maintain a beautification program.
9. To maintain a safety program focused to benefit players
and employees.
10. To maintain a high level of personnel efficiency on-the-job
in maintenance and operations. To guarantee the performance
and fulfillment of required obligations that enhances the
golf course as viewed by the golfer.
