Birthday Party Time at the Pool
Have your birthday party at the pool! We will host a 2-hour party for 10 children that includes birthday tableware, decorations, candles, beverage and a lifeguard ready to entertain your party-goers with water games and age-appropriate activities for a base price of $74.75. Pool admission for the entire day is also included in this base price. If you are interested in adding cake and ice cream, pizza or a 3-foot sub sandwich, we can provide each of these options for an additional fee. Feel free to purchase extra guests or extra pool and lifeguard time. Reservations and payment in full are required no less than 3 days in advance. Adult Swim

Lap lanes at Orchard Mesa Community Center Pool are available for your swimming workouts or leisure enjoyment. Swimming is a low impact activity that aids fat burning and increased cardiovascular endurance.

Aqua Aerobics
The Aquatics department offers a variety of Aqua Aerobic classes for fitness-seekers of all ages and ability levels. Novice to intermediate individuals will enjoy our "Rise "n" Shine" and "Aqua Fitness 101" classes, while thos seeking a more intense workout will find it in out "Hydro Strength" class. Participants need not be able to swim, but comfortability in all depths of water is a must.

Public Swim

Public Swim is open for a variety of aquatic activities from diving to lap swimming to simply water play. Please refer to pool calendar.

SCUBA Time

Practice your SCUBA skills, try new equipment, or whatever you need to optimize your next SCUBA adventure! Every Monday evening at Orchard Mesa Community Center Pool from 6:00-7:30 p.m. certified SCUBA divers may use the deep end of the pool. Regular admission prices apply, and divers MUST present their certification upon admission.

Competitive Swim Clubs

The Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department supports two area swim clubs the Grand Junction Dolphins and The Grand Valley Wave.

SCUBA - Instruction Time

Are you a SCUBA instructor looking for time to teach your students? Blocks of time at Orchard Mesa Community Center Pool may be purchased on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, for $75.00 per hour, with a two-hour minimum, for up to 30 divers. A deposit of $150.00 is required. Please call for (970)254-3885 further details.

Lifeguard Training

The City of Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department wants you to join our team. Through the National Pool and Water Park Ellis and Associates certification, you will be given the skills and training necessary to become a lifeguard and swimming instructor. Participants must be at least 15 years old to register. Payment is due upon registration to secure a spot. Pre-registration is recommended. Check out the latest Activity Guide for the most current class times. Note: Participants must attend all three days of class and be able to swim 200 yards without stopping, using crawl or breaststroke, tread water for two minutes without using any hands, and retrieve a 10 pound brick from the bottom of deep end, to receive certification.

Private Pool Party

Call now to reserve pool space at one of our pools for your family reunion, baptism, corporate team building session, baby shower or other special celebration. These parties are available during non-public swim hours. The minimum fee of $255.00 allows up to 50 swimmers use of the pool for 2 hours. Arrangements can be made for extended time and/or additional participants.
