The Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Department operates one indoor swimming facility year round. Orchard Mesa Community Center Pool is located at 2736 Unaweep Avenue, on the Orchard Mesa Middle School campus. To reach the facility from downtown Grand Junction, take 5th Street south, onto Orchard Mesa. Turn right (east) onto Unaweep Avenue. Turn left (north) onto 27 3/8 Road, turning into the parking lot by the pool.

This Z shaped pool is 25 meters by 25 yards, with a shallow (2') wading area as well as a 12' diving well. The facility also offers a hot tub and indoor waterslide. Additionally, an outside patio connects to the inside deck area for use in pleasant weather. Instructional and exercise classes are offered to the public, and the facility is also used by Mesa County School District 51 and by the local competitive swim teams. Public swim is held daily, and the facility can be rented for private parties during non-public hours. An observation deck at the Orchard Mesa Community Center Pool provides viewing area for non-swimmers.

Public swim hours can be found by visiting our Orchard Mesa Community Center Pool calendar.

Also, don't forget to see all the aquatic special events we host throughout the year. Regulation Swim suits are always required, and diapers are not allowed in the water. Floatation devices and toys of reasonable size are permitted in restricted areas of the pool. On-deck lockers are available for securing your goods.

Daily admission fees are: Infant $1.00; Youth and Senior $3.50; Adult $4.75. Admission Specials: A Group special rate of $14.00 is extended on Wednesday after 5:00 p.m. and all day on Sunday. Individual special admission of $2.25 applies after 5:00 p.m. Friday and all day on Saturday. Seasonal and year round pool passes and punch cards are available for discounts over daily admission.

For more information regarding the aquatic programs please email Larry Manchester or Tina Ross.
