What do local stakeholder groups say about the Comprehensive Plan?
The consultant team, Winston Associates, and City staff members have interviewed several key community stakeholders including business leaders, local home builders, utility providers, and large-parcel property owners. Stakeholders typically are persons/organizations likely to be impacted or influenced by the decisions made based on the Comprehensive Plan, persons with a wide breadth of knowledge that would be valuable to consider during the preparation of the plan, or persons representing special interest groups that can identify areas of concern for the community. The stakeholder focus group interviews assess issues, concerns, existing plans, community needs, and health of public services. Stakeholder interviews began early in the Comprehensive Plan process to help build interest in public meeting attendance.
