Sanitation Districts
 The
City contracts with the Central Grand
Valley, Fruitvale and Orchard Mesa sanitation districts
to transport and treat sewer from their district boundaries.
The districts were formed and built the pipelines to which
homes and businesses are directly connected. Then those pipelines
empty into the City/County's sewer system and the sewer is
treated at the Persigo Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Customers within these districts will see
two sewer charges on their bills. The district's charge
is for the maintenance and operation of the district's pipelines,
and the City's charge ($10.63 monthly-effective with the February 2008 bill)
is for the maintenance and operation of their lines as well
as the transportation and treatment of the sewer. The billing
and district charges are different for each. Please see

Orchard Mesa Sanitation District
(OMSD)
- General boundaries are 27 3/4 Rd
east to 30 Rd & Unaweep south to A 1/4 Rd. Also includes
south of Hwy 50 from 27 Rd east
- OMSD is responsible for billing
all customers within their district and they bill bi-monthly
- For a single family home, their
charges are currently $3.88 per month (or $7.56 per bi-monthly
bill)

Central Grand Valley Sanitation
District (CGVSD)
- General Boundaries are 28 Rd east
to 31 1/4 Rd & G Rd south to C 1/2 Rd (excluding the
FVSD district area)
- We are responsible for billing
all customers within the CGVSD district
- For a single family home, their
charges are currently $9.00 per month

Fruitvale Sanitation District (FVSD)
- General boundaries are 28 Rd east
to 30 Rd & Orchard Ave south to the I-70 Business Loop--Extends
north of Orchard Ave in some areas
- FVSD is responsible for billing
the customers outside City limits and we are responsible
for billing customers inside the City limits
- For a single family home, their
charges are currently $1.00 per month
