The Grand Junction Police Department, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, Fruita Police Department, and State Liquor Enforcement conducted compliance checks at 111 liquor establishments across Mesa County on July 11. Of the 111 businesses checked, nine were caught selling alcohol to minors.

The businesses that failed last night’s compliance checks are:

Horizon Liquor
Fin's Grill
The Winery Restaurant
Taqueria Valparaiso
Pete's House of Spirits
El Tapatio
Chin Chin
Clifton Liquors

This operation was funded by the Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws grant, which was awarded to the Grand Junction Police Department in October 2011.
