The Grand Junction Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with the shooting at the Affordable Inns yesterday morning. The charges listed on the warrant for 26-year-old Joseph Martin Lara, whose last known address was in Fruita, include attempted first degree murder. Joseph Lara is described as a Hispanic male, 5-feet 7-inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. Witnesses previously described him as a Hawaiian or Samoan man.
