The Grand Junction Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for a man wanted in connection with the shooting at the Affordable Inns yesterday morning. The charges listed on the warrant for 26-year-old Joseph Martin Lara, whose last known address was in Fruita, include attempted first degree murder. All court documents for this case have been filed under seal, so further details regarding are not available.

Joseph Lara is described as a Hispanic male, 5-feet 7-inches tall, weighing 140 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. Witnesses previously described him as a Hawaiian or Samoan man.
